Buffy has been adopted!
It’s been several weeks of ups and downs for this little abandoned dog, but after some additional diagnostic testing, Buffy's results all came back normal. She cleared for adoption…the second time around. We are happy to announce that Buffy has been adopted into the loving home of her new family, Michelle and Mark!
The couple has had poodles before and, after losing their last one, they weren’t sure they wanted to get another dog. We all know that feeling. It’s so hard when we lose our pets but Buffy’s story, her strong spirit, and sweet face won them over and helped them realize that they were ready to open their hearts once again.
When Michelle and Mark came to Dakin to visit Buffy and see if it was a match, they brought with them a special family blanket and a brand new BoSox toy. Buffy was smitten with both gifts.
Michelle and Mark are ready to help Buffy continue her healing process and she is ready to help them heal too.
Thanks to everyone for the outpouring of love and support of Buffy. The well greetings, notes, and postings on Dakin’s Facebook page proved to us once again that there are amazing people in our community…and beyond…who do what they can to help. Thank you to all those who donated towards the Dakin Buddy Fund for her care; you helped us provide the additional testing and treatment needed for her and will continue to assist us in helping animals like Buffy through your generosity.
