maintenance assistant
Full time position, non-exempt.
$10.00 - $11.00 based on experience
Duties will include:
Cleaning of facility. Also operating powered equipment, mowing grass, maintenance of grounds, keeping grounds safe in inclement weather: some shoveling-sanding-salting, maintenance of building exterior, routine maintenance of lighting, drains, organization of storage areas, delivering vehicles for maintenance, limited carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, etc.
Musts:

Good communication skills

Valid MA drivers license with acceptable driving record

Capability to safely lift/carry 50(+) lbs. on a routine basis

Ability to work on ladders and roofs safely

Ability to work around energized machinery safely

Must pass drug screening prior to hire

Have an awareness of how your work affects animals in the facility, and work to ensure their comfort.

Occasional travel between Springfield and Leverett locations

Occasional weekend/holiday work
