Program Details:
Date: August 3-7, 2009
Time: 9am-3pm
Who: boys and girls 8-12 years old
Where: The Leverett Elementary School, Dakin Pioneer Valley Humane
Society Adoption Centers, and exciting field trips around the Pioneer Valley
Shelter Experience:
Shelter projects
Spend time with friendly shelter animals
Walk, train and socialize dogs
Enrichment projects
education:
Each day we will focus on humane animal issues.
Caring for
family pets, dog bite prevention, animal behavior and communication, animal
abuse, fostering empathy, people/wildlife relationship.
How to take
action to save and improve the lives of animals.
field trips:
Dakin Pioneer Valley Humane Society, Springfield Adoption Center
Forest Park Zoo
Veterinary Hospital
And other exciting outings in the Pioneer Valley
Projects and fun:
Cat and dog toys
Placemats
Picture frames
Habitats,
treats, games and more!
