summer sale to save lives! dakin pioneer valley humane society needs adopters!
Dakin Pioneer Valley Humane Society has 200 kittens and cats in need of new homes. All shapes, all sizes, all colors. But what is the one thing these felines have in common? They ALL need new homes.
Since Dakin expanded its operation and opened the doors in Hampden County on August 1, 2009, the organization has successfully found homes for every adoptable animal in its adoption centers in Springfield and Leverett. In an effort to continue to save lives amid a dramatic influx of cats and kittens with nowhere else to go, Dakin is offering a Summer Sale to Save Lives.
For the month of July, all kitten adoptions are just $75. That’s half off the regular adoption fee! In addition, any adult cats (one year and older) are part of the Certified Pre-Owned adoption program. Adopters willing to open their heart and home to a slightly older cat are asked to make a donation in lieu of the standard adoption fee.
“Adopting a homeless cat or kitten from Dakin not only saves lives, adopters receive a host of veterinary services to get their newest family member off to the best possible start”, noted Candy Lash, Director of Community & Media Relations. “All adoptions include spay/neuter surgery, distemper and rabies vaccinations, age-appropriate testing, microchip, identification collar and tag, and starter kit of food…and a guaranteed daily dose of love.
Please visit our adoption pages to see who is available at our Leverett and Springfield locations, or stop in to visit during our normal business hours.
